What is a Host Home Provider?

A host home provider is someone interested in making a difference in the lives of others and having the satisfaction of owning your own business. The responsibilities as a provider include providing meals, transportation to appointments and other activities, assisting with daily living and personal care, medication management and behavioral supports. Becoming a provider also gives you the opportunity to provided companionship and the opportunity for the individual to participate in social activities in their community.

Provider Requirements

Quality Living Options is seeking quality providers interested in caring for adults with developmental disabilities.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Passing a Criminal Records check;
  • Being 21 years of age;
  • Living in a home that meets the structural and safety requirements of the program;
  • Having the financial resources required to open and operate the home; and
  • Successfully completing the Basic Training Course and first aid/CPR;
